Brake Pads

 

SAFETY FIRST: Protective gloves and eyewear are recommended at this point.

Inspection

 

Front

If a pad is worn to less than 1 mm or 0.04 in at any point replace both pads. If the pad has worn to the bottom of its wear groove it must be replaced.

 

Rear

 

When the rear brake is applied the line on the end of the cam should be in the area of the index mark on the brake panel.

 

Pad or Shoe Replacement
